About SKENT-N-DENT

In 1953, Fred Marzelle Hill, Sr. and wife Dorothy Taylor Hill opened Home Appliance and TV in Monroe, Louisiana, and a family legacy was created. Originally focused on the sales and service of home appliances and electronics, Home Appliance and TV was taken over by Fred Hill, JR. In 1972 and has continued to expand to include new family members, for four generations. 

Over the years, this family business has undergone several evolutions to eventually become Skent-N-Dent Appliance Outlet, a unique for the area appliance store which features direct-from-the-factory appliances which may have a cosmetic flaw that are all mechanically sound. This flaw, often unnoticeable, allows the customer to purchase a brand-new appliance for up to 60% below MSRP. 

Skent-N-Dent offers two convenient locations, the original Monroe store which also features a large parts and service department, while the Shreveport branch provides both appliance sales and service.  Skent-N-Dent Monroe provides in-home service calls for their customers, and they staff several in-shop technicians for those customers who prefer to bring in their appliance for repair.
